self care

hey guys!! once again would like to thank you all for following and reading my blog, you have no idea how much that means to me, so thank you!

self care. what does that even mean, well that's exactly what I thought when someone asked me if I could do a blog about it, self care is about how you look after your health in any type of situation, well then I thought, physical or mental?..

the thing is it could be both, it is important in life to look after both your mental and physical health. especially in todays society. in todays society I believe that is the up most importance to look after your mental health, there is so many stigmas going around about mental health. the stigma that people who ask for help, are not really struggling but asking for attention, the  stigma that if you ask for help it will ruin your popularity, your friendship's, your life. in my eyes that is when all the problems occur, if your worrying about what everyone else thinks, and not worrying about yourself, well that's when your self care needs to become more important.

self care with anorexia, is difficult, because what Annie wants and what's good for you, are two totally different things, Annie wants you to be skinny, when in fact its unhealthy, Annie wants to shut everyone  in your life out, when in facts its lonely, Annie wants you to keep her secret, when in facts its important you seek help. so when you have anorexia self care can be difficult to do because it becomes a struggle to see what your body needs. that's when self care becomes I portant during your recovery, you need to get your mind to think around the fact that self care is important and that what your doing is not good for your physical or mental self.

however self care with cerebral palsy, that's not so difficult, however with cp the self care is a bit of both physical and mental, to me all you have to be is positive, you have to look of the things you could do or want to do not what you can’t do, you can’t think about the differences you got to think of the similarities. physical health is when you know your limits, understand your limits and stop at your limits no matter how determined you are.
